The Fast Track To The Future
The Arapahoe-Douglas Career and Technical School (ACTS) is a division
of Arapahoe Community College (ACC). Articulation means that high
school students can receive as much as sixteen hours of college credit
granted through ACC. ACC and ACTS have entered into formal agreements
that enable students to make a smooth transition from secondary
to post-secondary programs without experiencing delays or duplication
of learning.
The advantages of taking these courses in high school are:
|
Students
receive ACC articulation credit for classes they take in
high school. Courses they don't have to take in college
translate into additional money they don't have to spend. |
|
Students may be able to skip introductory courses at ACC
and start at a higher level. |
|
Students can increase their future earning potential. The
average monthly salary of someone with an associate degree
can be more than $500 a month higher than the salary of someone
with a high school diploma. |
